It was my first time going to a treatment center and I was really nervous, sad, and afraid. Nora, the owner, was the kindest soul who assured me I was going to heal. She also gave my husband words of encouragement to help make this transition as easy as possible for our family. There is a detailed schedule posted each morning which helps build your abilities to create structure back into your life. During any down times, you are free to use the beautiful gym equipped with a treadmill, exercise bike, multiple ellipticals, weight machines, etc. The backyard of the house is really relaxing and has areas with great sun exposure. I learned to love the sunshine again! I was lucky enough to enjoy healthy meals, fresh fruit and veggies, which also makes you recover. The therapist team was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and caring. We received group therapy sessions, as well as individual sessions. If needed, Nora would listen to your progress and attempt to add more sessions for you during any difficult days or hard feelings you’re experiencing during your recovery journey. Based on your individual treatment plan, you receive weekly or biweekly check ins with the doctor, evaluating your progress and making any necessary adjustments. Your first few days there, you are closely monitored by the EMT. He’s really great. As a group, each morning, and each evening, the clients would collectively lead a self daily reflection session and a coping skills session. This allows you to open up not only to yourself, but to your peers if you wish. Honestly this was the first time I really journaled in quite some time and it really is good for the soul. We had yoga twice a week with the BEST instructor. She was not only a great yoga teacher, but just the kindest and coolest person. The bedrooms are one person rooms, some with your own bathroom, community laundry room, tv area, multiple sitting areas indoor and outdoor. The best part about Harmony Grove I would say is that the owner, Nora, is always there to help you if needed. She truly cares. She even brings the house fresh veggies from her garden. Struggling with addiction is really hard.. I left a better person, inside and out, and I can’t thank Harmony Grove enough for giving me a second chance.

When I was seeking out a recovery center I researched through many and finally came to Harmony Grove and i am relived that I did from the moment I walked in i felt comfortable and cared for having your own room I feel is so important to ones recovery time to yourself throughout the day i found invaluable the days were structured with therapy, group therapy and activities that also left enough time to ones self for contemplation rest or whatever you desired, also allowing residents to keep there phones was important to me as I needed to stay in contact with a sick family member at the time, I found Nora the owner to be extremely kind and caring from my comfortableness while during my stay, going above and beyond when it came to payment, her openness big heart generosity and willingness to put care before profit will stick with me forever,
I found the place extremely clean and well taken care of, my favorite days were pool days although we didn’t get as many as I hoped with some scheduling conflict they were a welcome relief, the therapists that work there are top notch and challenged me on long held belief systems in one on one in a way that helped me to be more insightful to myself personable and friendly, i found it ran very smoothly with every morning a posting of what the days activities would be , The food was great an the ability to order your own treats to be delivered made Life easier,
In the end it all comes down to what you put into your recovery but the environment provided definitely plays a part and I chose Harmony Grove even though there were ones closer to home in Los Angeles, and am grateful I did, If you are like me and having a hard time choosing where to send a loved one or for yourself put this one in your top two if not your #1 choice, your not treated like a prisoner or a criminal and you have just enough freedom to really relax rebuild an recover while you are there while also employing enough structure to get your life back on track. I am forever grateful!

Working with Harmony Grove Recovery Center has been a fantastic journey so far. I can truly say that they do their upmost best for their clients. The level of quality care clients receive is outstanding. They go far and above to assist me in advocating for quality time needed for their clients to recover from this terrible disease. Thank you for all you do. You are literally saving lives.

Where do I begin? I was a broken soul when I arrived at Harmony Grove. I had lost my will to live. When I entered through the door, I immediately felt a calm presence fall over me. Firstly, “luxury” isn’t an overstatement. The house is beautiful, clean, organized, and so comfortable. A perfect place to heal and recover. The combination of daily therapy, group sessions, journaling, and coping skills are unique to this program, and an integral part of recovery. The daily schedule allows you to recalibrate and reestablish healthy habits. The team support of Nora, Jacob, Amy , and Tracy will change your life. Not to mention the Yoga sessions by Jennie, and massages, outings to the pool, and other therapeutic activities. Daily exercise in the well appointed onsite gym was an integral part of my progress. The abundance of delicious food and dinners cooked were amazing. I really cannot say enough about how this literally saved my life. I’ve endured 60 years of trauma and 48 years of addiction of one kind or another. I’ve had dozens of therapists and countless medications, all to no avail. If I could have stayed at Harmony Grove forever, I would have! Nora was instrumental in taking care of my insurance issues to make sure I got the treatment I needed. I’ll be forever grateful to Harmony Grove for giving me my life back. I will not hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone and everyone who is seeking help. Thank you HGR, from the bottom of my heart.

Harmony Grove Recovery was exceptional! I couldn’t have found anywhere better!!! Amenities were great, nice full size bed, single room, comfortable and clean. House was beautiful. Nice TV, fridge, the owner would order groceries specified to our liking. The detox was uncomfortable, of course… Its detox. But they did their best to keep me as comfortable as possible. I personally lile solitude and peace and quiet and they catered to my wishes. I never asked for anything above and beyond and was a fairly simple and realistic client. After detox we had to do 2 groups a day. Groups were not that hard. The facilitators were excellent. You only get as much as you put in and we had a small group (only 4 of us for a majority of the time) and we were all serious about our recovery and were all engaged. We went to as many meetings as possible and during my time they could have found better meetings rather than only the Escondido Alano Club but that’s really not HGRs fault.

The owner, Nora, is VERY hands-on with her management and involvement. She’s always available and wants nothing more than to help her clients. My insurance did not pay out well and for my first week I was her only client. She took a financial hit (lost money) for me being there. I was concerned I wouldn’t be able go stay. She saw how much I needed help and how willing I was and told me not to worry and that she would keep me as long as I needed. Her heart is so big that she was willing to lose money for her business for a man she didn’t know for more than a couple days and several conversations. I’m proud to say she made the right choice and am still sober and it’s thanks to Nora giving me a chance. I’ve been to rehabs as a client and I’ve worked for rehabs as an employee and I can truly say an owner and a facility like Nora and Harmony Grove Recovery are extremely rare, like finding a diamond in the rough. This industry needs more owners that are as caring AND as ethical as Nora and HGR. I wouldn’t recommend for an alcoholic or addict needing Detox and RTC anywhere else other than HGR.

This facility is amazing. The medical staff is exceptionally helpful, caring and friendly and are there for the patients. The facility is always super clean and everyone gets there own rooms which is nice. A great outdoor area it’s great! Nora truly is an amazing person and has always been incredibly helpful. I’d recommend this facility to anyone seeking treatment. It’s very relaxing , comfortable and safe.

I appreciate the owner’s vision of her recovery center. The therapists are top notch, the house manager also, and I really appreciate the people I have met while doing outpatient therapy at this facility! Everyone has made a substantial difference in my life, I am so grateful to everyone who has assisted me.

Cannot express my gratitude enough for my experience here at Harmony Grove Recovery! The staff is amazing and always has our best interests in mind. I felt welcomed and knew I was in the right place from my initial phone call and the moment I walked through their doors. I have grown so much as an individual during my experience here at Harmony Grove Recovery and have learned many skills and tools to continue my recovery. I apply what I have learned here at Harmony Grove Recovery and know I wouldn’t be where I am at today if it wasn’t for the amazing staff and my therapist. I initially came to the intensive outpatient clinic for 6 weeks and have been continued attending after I have completed my 6 week program. Thank you Harmony Grove Recovery! I highly recommend them!

My experience at Harmony Grove was better than I could’ve imagined, especially for my first time trying treatment. I’m 25 years old from Los Angeles, and made life long friends there of different ages. The staff made me feel extremely comfortable since day 1. Nora was (and still is) super responsive if I had any questions, comments or concerns. My family visited me a bunch, but I honestly felt like I had a family at Harmony Grove by the end of Week 1.

The counselors, nurse practitioners, therapists, and house manager are very intelligent and highly skilled at what they do. They treat clients like adults (phones allowed) , they give us our space (love the private rooms), and don’t force us to do anything we aren’t comfortable with – but I always felt comfortable going to them about anything. Jacob and Nancy are awesome. So is Tracy and Tari (our therapists). I just felt really safe and laughed more than I have in months.

I finished inpatient a few days ago after being there for 5 1/2 weeks. I received a lot education about substance abuse and mental health that was crucial for my sobriety. I learned a lot about myself too. I really liked our daily schedule because it was the perfect amount of activities and free time. I gained life skills like mindfulness and having structure for a daily routine. I hope to continue my new healthy habits and grateful for this experience. Thanks Harmony!

This place saved me! I really cannot speak highly enough about the therapist Amy. She is a great listener and genuinely treats you like someone outside of your addiction. She takes real interest and care in your life which helps in getting to the nitty gritty of the intensive therapy. Beautiful center as well!

Everyone’s experience will be different based on your mindset and the work that you put into recovery. (Negative people will always find something wrong.) My experience was positive and I enjoyed my time there. The staff was accommodating and assisted me in my journey to sobriety. The atmosphere felt “home-like” rather than a clinical setting. The rules aren’t too strict and they allow privileges that other facilities will not. The program is tailored specifically to each individual’s care and needs. If you are serious about recovery and looking for a quiet place to recharge your life, I would suggest you take a look at this place.

After a little of over a month of being at harmony grove, I can honestly say this is exactly what I needed to get out of my addiction and the mental state I was in. The staff and therapists were great and the hospitality was just right. Would highly recommend HGR for anyone struggling with addiction and are attempting to get into recovery.

This place is awesome!! The name says it all, Harmony. During my 60 days, I learned the value of sobriety and the importance of recovery. The therapists and counselors are very well educated in their field of study and work diligently to see that you’re successful. Each resident’s program is flexible and tailored to each person’s needs. I enjoyed having my own bedroom, privacy, and the ability to relax and focus on my recovery. They actually do care and display a level of love that no other facility can offer. The environment is positive with an encouraging atmosphere. Nora and Dustin are great. I highly recommend Harmony Grove Recovery.

If you have to go to rehab come HERE! I was reluctant at first but came in with the intention to only complete 30 days. The program was so good that I decided to extend my stay to 3 months. They’re very flexible and try to work with everyone’s needs. The therapy and groups were professionally facilitated with a desire to see everyone succeed. I enjoyed the hikes, yoga, and beach trips. It’s a relaxed atmosphere and an enjoyable environment. The food is good too.

Friendly staff. Plenty of perks – pool, hikes, beach day, decent gym onsite, ping pong, tv, and yoga. Not too stringent with rules. You can keep your cellphone and iPad. I highly recommend it. The therapy and counseling gave me the tools I needed to maintain sobriety and live a successful life in recovery.

I had a phenomenal experience at Harmony Grove Recovery. Nora and Dustin were amazing from start to finish. I felt at home from the moment I walked in the door, which created a smooth recovery process. The residents were welcoming and open, which is a direct reflection of the culture that is created at HGR on a daily basis. I would highly encourage anyone struggling to overcome an addiction to spend time at HGR.

Prior to coming to Harmony Grove Recovery I was a broken man and had a serious addiction. Being here has taught me how to live without drugs. I have my family back and able to rebuild my relationship with my son. The therapists and counselors are very knowledgeable and professional. The program director, Nora, tailors the program to your individual needs. Dustin is compassionate and very encouraging. Unlike other facilities, you’re able to have access to your cell phone and other electronic devices. On my birthday, they celebrated with cake and ice cream and went all out on decorations. I felt so love and accepted. It was great. I highly recommend Harmony Grove!

This place is amazing! Everything about this place is good! The staff are knowledgable and caring. The medical staff provide excellent care, you see a doctor multiple times a week! Kimberly is an amazing house supervisor that goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is well taken care of. Nora provides total care for each client including helping the family members. The facility is beautiful and every client gets their own bedroom. The best part is each client receives both group and individual therapy daily!! Truly blessed for this facility!!

This facility is a great program. The staff are knowledgeable and actually care about their clients. The program provides a variety of services and tailors to each individual. Whats really awesome is that each client gets their own bedroom and some have their own bathroom. It’s uncomfortable sharing a bedroom with someone you don’t even know and having to go through the detox phase. Here you are provided with a variety of different group and individual sessions and extra services like art therapy, massage therapy and equine therapy. The house supervisor cooks great meals and is very friendly and kind. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking to get help with their addictions and be provided a great and comfortable experience.
